The engine that I rebuilt only had broken ring lands that did not come apart until I removed the pistons. The front cover and oil pump was brand new and it did not have oil pressure problem. Tonight I cranked it over with the fuel pump fuse removed and no turbo installed. I cranked it several times maybe 15 seconds each time but no oil pressure and no oil coming out of the turbo pressure line. I am wondering if this is my problem

o-ring #15066-5E510 for use between the timing cover and the main oil inlet port in the engine block

I did not read this in the FSM. Does anybody have a picture of this part installed?

It took some cranking to get oil out of our pressure line, check the filter to see if it is filling up. We shimmed the spring on the oil pump and I was liberal with priming the gear on the pump. Did you put a new gasket between the pick up and the housing?

No the engine only had less then a 1000 miles before the ring lands went. I left it alone because it was working fine before. I guess it won`t hurt it to crank it a couple of minutes to see if any oil comes out. Are you familier with the O-ring. I couldn`t find it anywhere in the FSM.

so did you install a new front cover? if so check your old cover to see if that oring came off with it. i remember i got that oring in my felpro gasket set. sorry i dont have any pics, but if you dont have that gasket in place it will def cause no oil psi. its part metal, and part silicon. the metal part is lipped and sits inside the main oil port, and the silicon part seals between the block and cover. on my fresh motor i built, i got oil psi the first crank.

Dam I know that is not installed! I don`t think I have that in my Felpro kit. I will double check tonight.
