John,

Due to the current SR20 swap craze, you should have no problem at all finding good used KA's for surprisingly low prices.

It's a buyers market for these engines right now.Just something for you to consider, before you dive into a rebuild.

*Warning* stay away from http://www.rpmrons.com/Nissankits.html

I live in Utah and they are the ones that rebuilt my engine (there a local machine shop). they seem like OK guys, but i have had nothing but problems with my engine. so its just a warning. you should be able to get a felpro gasket set from any auto store. then just buy the pistons and rods you wont, then outsorce your machine work. if i where to ever rebuild again (witch i will not do) thats what i would do.

i would say if you plan to do any kind of performance rebuild. i personal feel your better off swaping. i mean if I could go back i would have swaped.

IMPORTPERFORMANCEPARTS.COM HAS GOOD KITS USING TOPLINE PRODUCTS, THEY ALSO HAVE A STROKER COMING OUT FOR THE KA24E AND THEN MAYBE SOON AFTER THE KA24DE. HUGE HORSEPOWER JUMP AND EVEN BIGGER TORQUE LEAP.
