Local independent dealer stated that no incentives applied for the Versa SL although I saw one post in another State which was the incentive that i was refused. That of being a recent graduate (within their time frame and with documentation). Any feedback regarding this?

There are no incentives given. You have a hard time even finding one.

The only rebate/incentive offered by Nissan is the recent graduate rebate. This is a Nissan promotion that applies no matter what new car you buy. The important part is "Dealer participation may vary." There's a fair amount of dealers that do not participate in these promotions, although I'm not too sure why. There's $1000 loyalty promotion on the Quests but that doesn't apply to you.

We won't see any incentives specifically for the Versa anytime soon. Normally incentives are given to generate more support for a vehicle that's not doing to well in the market. They can't keep the V on the shelves for Gods sake . I don't think we will see incentives unless something comes out that way better and way cheaper. We will see incentives for the rest of the Nissan fleet before we see any for the V.

Or at least until next year when they're blowing out the remaining '07's... IF there are even any left at that time.

I applied for that rebate (recent graduate) and the salesman said he can't do it because i had to wait for another year or so since versa was out during the 2006 and they didn't know how enter the rebate into the computer.

I got the graduate rebate on my SL.

I simply brought my diploma, they made a copy of it and as long as I financed through Nissan, they took the $500 off right away.

It is called Nissan Grad Cash! $500 off Sentra 06-07 Altima 06-07, Versa, Frontier 06-07 and Xterra 06-07

But as it has already been stated Dealership cooperation is the key. But there is no reason why a dealer would not use this money comes directly from Nissan Unless they try to use it to get $500 more from the customer.

Did the base price for the Versa go up?I would kill for one of those Xtrails. they look good! Especially if they are a little smaller than the Xterra.
