I'm just wondering what you think? I know most of you will attack the idea and think it's rediculous but just wanted to hear opinions. Not only that but if ANY of you think its a GOOD idea, then how/where?

Do i remove the Nissan logo and put it where that was previously (top center of trunk) Do i leave the Nissan logo and split the SKY on one side of it and the LINE on the other? Do i put the SKYLINE on the trunk handle below the Nissan logo? Or do i put it off to the side (i.e. where the Altima wordmark used to go)

this is my opinion. If you wanted a skyline you should get one. Don't try to pass your beautiful altima off as a skyline.

i don't think its a good idea BUT if you really wanted to, i think the only way you could do it without it looking stupid is by getting the extreme dimensions CF trunk and back bumper. the G35 has the license plate in the rear bumper which allows for letters to go on the trunk. the altima coupe has the license plate on the trunk so theres no room to put the letters even if you were serious about it.

the only rename you could do would be Teana but that's kinda far fetched too

first off, welcome to nico!

2nd - i dont think you can do this without changing your rear end around. The altima back end isn't set up for you to do this because of the licence plate - if you look in the G section you can see what Beancooker did...

I don't think this is a good idea. And, though your original post states that you "Just wanted to hear opinions", I will keep mine to myself as you wouldn't like it.

Welcome to NICO

There were other threads on here about de-badge, or rebadge a 2.5S to a 250SX and even putting custom badges and even go as far as putting NISMO or SE-R badges.

All of the above makes sense as opposed to the SKYLINE badge your suggesting.

We don't own G35's nor is our car in any way JDM. I think it's a bad idea.

I understand what you're trying to achieve (same thing as the G35) but the main thing that makes it "acceptable" on the G35 is because in Japan, the G's ARE skyline's. That's the way they are badged over there so it's kind of a JDM thing. If you had a G35 and you were looking to re-badge it with the skyline logo's I think people would support you a little more.

Since you are a proud owner of an Altima coupe...I'd say either de badge it completely or just leave the Altima logo's.

That's just my opinion though.

why? why? why would you do this? you don't buy a JC Penny suit and put Brooks Brothers labels on it so why would you do that to your Altima Coupe? if you wanted a Skyline you should have bought one...if you cant afford one then buy something else you like and enjoy that as it is and save for later in your life where you can import it and such...

oh yea...you didn't list what model you bought don't tell me you bought the base model 2.5 and were thinking about doing this. All that would happen is you would be laughed at by everyone that knows anything about cars.

wow, I'm very impressed that there was no outright flaming for you asking this question.... good job NICO keeping it classy fellas

and no, hands down bad idea rebadging as a skyline... that should strictly be left for the baby skylines (JDM G's) and real skylines.. even though they are just referred to as GT-R's, they can do whatever the hell they want to their cars since they really are skylines!

The original poster, the quarterback of this thread, has just been sacked but we have 2 fouls on the play

ESP - you get a personal foul unnecesary roughness on the defense - depi cting a lfake country azz double hoop earing wearing....

the ref- while looking at the youtube instant replay was overheard saying "Damn, Damn, Damn - why did it have to be a brother "

Schremp 44 - personal foulfalse start with malicious intent - coming on THIS forum and suggesting a rebadge with anything having to do with the G35 - come to think of it - rebadging your car using Infiniti G35 would prob. be the only thing worse you could propose after using the Skyline letters.

But it is your car so your have to do what pleases you - I think the average person on the street wouldnt even know what a skyline is. If you are serious - then you should post a pic of the rear of the Altima - that is if you want suggestions on placement (of course you will likely also get more - dont do its).

Good Luck either way.
