I am about to put the timing cover back on but are there any o rings or anything that sit between the block and cover. The FSM sucks when it comes to this. Please let me know quick, thanks.

Nope, just use some good sealant.

oh ok cool. I know when i reassbled a vq35, there were about 6+ new o rings you had to replace including some wierd metal ones and such. oh well. thanks.

there is one on the lower cover for the water flow. its metal and has a lip on it. the insertable side goes in the block

Actually that very special o-ring 1sikS13 mentioned is the oil supply for the whole engine. Replace it! Dealer part only!

ya i just looked at the FSM one last time to see what the torque spec for my oil pump was and i saw the o ring. Gonna order that tonigh.
