So my car started out with the orignal gauges, they worked, then when I swapped I used the gauges from the clip, they worked. But I wanted to use the original gauges for the car so I could keep the original mileage, so I swapped in the 9K tach to the original gauges, it doesn't work. Any suggestions on why?

make sure you have all your screws on the cluster tightened in and the plugs are tight. The JDM tach will work in the USDM cluster.

The screws act as grounds and power transfer on the laminated electrical sheet.

I'm pretty sure I installed the 9k tach in the cluster correctly, but I will double check today and let ya know. Like I said, I had the cluster from the clip in before ad it worked great, so yeah it must have been me improperly installing it, we'll see.

Well, I figured out what was wrong, it was the tach itself. It just wasn't working, don't know why. I put in the original 9K tach and it works fine now.
