Heres what I was given as a price qoute today at my local performance shop. A guy who works there is able to get engines from Japan and was wondering if these figures were anywhere in the ballpark that you all got when you did your swap.

$2000 ca front clip (motor has warrenty on it, start up and if anything is broken they replace for free. If motor happens to be blown, they'll replace it.)$500 s/h$1400 installation ($1800 installation if headgasket is replaced)$140 Tomei timing belt$180 for tomei headgasket 1.1mm or 1.2mm$315 ACT clutch$250 LSD

I imagine I'm leaving a few things out that we spoke about but the total came out to be about $4700. Thats a lil step and I'm sure I could do better. I know half of you are going to say "Install the engine yourself" but problem is, I havent done anything major like this to a Nissan before. I've helped swap engines into a couple of friends Civics but thats about it. And the price of the engine is kinda outragous compared to others that I've looked at. I wanna speak with Dee about his and see what he can do. I've emailed a lot of companies but am still waiting on a reply. So, just any thoughts about what you all think, thanks.

Jason

I'm located exactly 8 hrs away from you in Crestview, Fl. Its a small heck city right off of I-10. I'll be in Orlando in 2 years...just decided to throw that out there cause I saw your from UCF...thats where I'll be going.

My friends and I were thinking about attempting to install the motor ourselves, a few of them really good with engines.
