I recently replaced my transmission. The old transmission was slipping in 4th, and was slow to engage when cold; but worked fine otherwise.

My initial reaction is to keep it for parts, core, rebuild, etc.

Any suggestions on what I should do with it?

Pat

Send it off to Level 10 for a rebuilt heavy duty spare. Don't have to do it right away, either.

The core price seems to be about $350.

I have a fully functioning trans (replaced it with a Level 10 ) that I drag around with me. I'm not sure why I do this, so I'm not sure why you would want to either... A 225 pound paperweight? Also, no matter what you do, there will always be a little bit of fluid that wants to come out on your garage floor.

FX - Any chance of you parting with the "paperweight"?

Yes, you did. It's about $4K for the rebuild, depending on what parts one chooses.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45
