rearview mirror (homelink)

purchased a 2009 murano, at night you must feel around for the correct homelink button to push to open the garage door. seems like the homelink buttons should light up at night when interior lights are on. this is about the only thing we do not like about this vehicle. wanted to make sure there is nothing wrong with are rear view mirror.

I'm with you, had mine for two months and still don't have the touchto find the buttons. I have one for our entry gate and one for thegarage, they should have been protruded. Keep thinking i'm goingto hang my old remotes on the visor.

I have an 09 Murano.Nothing wrong with your mirror. The buttons just aren't lit.

Give it a few months, you will get used to it. It is kind of like when they change the buttons around on Madden Football, little wierd the first few weeks of playing, but eventually it becomes second nature!

I'm thinking of doing this to mine - get a hot glue gun ready (extension cord, or even power inverter) and place a reallllly small dab on each of the buttons. Small enough so it won't run, but just enough so that you can "feel" them at night.

You might be able to use something else in place of hot glue (it's just easier to remove if you mess up). There are various other rubber compounds, or even those little rubber feet you use on certain equipment (if you're in the computer industry - run across these all the time).

Anyway, just some ideas....

I solved mine by cutting a small piece of sticky back velcro the size ofthe button and putting it over the button, I can now feel for it, works great. Don't know how long it will last.
