Has anyone attempted to replace a worn rear wiper on an '08 Quest? Do I really need to replace the entire arm $38 dollars?!!

Not sure but $38 is not that much.

The special rear wiper blade is available for the special rear arm. Look online for a "Trico Exact Fit Rear Integral Blade". There are several variations for the handful of specialized rear arms out there so make sure you enter your make, model and year so you get the right one. Install is super easy. Hope this helps.

I did mine in the fall. Easy and maybe about $20. Canadian Tire. Similar to Pep Boys down south.

I had a new winter wiper blade kicking around and I had time to kill so I played around with it and I removed and replaced the blade portion only and it works fine.

I had to do some slight modifications but it was a nice day out plus I already had a new blade that did not fit anything.

Unless you go with the suggestions below, it is indeed the ENTIRE WIPER ARM from Nissan. Ridiculous -- that blade used to be sold alone from Nissan (at least for my 04, I bought one years ago)...but not anymore!!! Last time I purchased, I had to get the whole arm. The only good thing is it did last quite a while, even in a dry, snowy desert.

Look online. I found just the wiper blade (with the funky plastic body) for around 12 dollars at advanceautoparts.com. Sign up for an account and they send out good discount codes for online orders regularly. I also found some on google shopping as well. Otherwise Nissan told me it would be 39.99 for the whole assembly and do not have the blade only available.
