Rear Wiper motor sounds horrible

I used my rear wiper today and noticed that when ever it wipers the back windshield the wiper actually makes a horrible horrible grinding kind of ratcheting sound. I would imagine it's coming out of the motor and it is super loud!

Has anyone else had this or what could be the cause / solution??

Possible cause; engaging the wiper accidentally when frozen to window. Solution; if your car is under warranty, say nothing and bring it in, explain the noise, and get it fixed! The cause is likely a faulty wiper gearbox, either caused by a defect or misuse. This is not a common problem.

Thanks, yea cold would sound right. Yea its just an awful grinding type noise super loud. Thanks I will be at the dealer in a few weeks. They also have to fix a heating coil for the A/C / Heater so I will mention that as well.
