REAR Windshield wiper

Hello everyone, While I was on my way home from work in a huge downpour of rain, my rear wiper flew off. I'm not exactly sure why it did or how it is attached for that reason. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it.Thanks for the help,Jeremy

Well... I had a similar problem.

Because we were getting snow.. I pulled my wiper blades back off the windshield.. worked fine for the front.. and the back.. so I thought.

The next morning, I put the blades all down (didnt end up snowing after all) and open my hatch to put some stuff in. When I close the hatch.. the wiper just falls off.

So I stick it back on. From what I can tell.. it is just attached via pressure fit. I checked the plastic for any break marks and there were none. It seems like its supposed to hold in to a rubber pad where it attaches. I guess they figure the blade should not get pulled straight out and only recieves resistence from the sides.. it will hold fine.

I just put mine back in, and it hasnt fallen off again. However. the contact is sub par now leaving big streaks on the back windshield at times making it difficult to see. I'm almost tempted to go to a dealership and complain about it, but I'm not confident they will be able to fix the contact issue.

Yea. I just wish I actually had the wiper to do research of my own. Since it flew off at 60 plus MPH I never could find it. all that was left was the little rubber piece in the wiper reciever. Now I guess I gotta go fight with the dealership about getting a replacement.
