Well I am having a bit of an issue with my rear windows. They are not working at all. The drivers side rear hasn't worked since I got the car and the passenger rear worked for a while but does not anymore. Anyone have any ideas on how I could troubleshoot this issue? I am thinking maybe the window motors are bad?

My junkyard just got a 2003 QX4 on monday and I've already gone through and ripped out the interior and added heated seats to my car, I was thinking about grabbing the window motors out of it but I am not sure that is the issue.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

You can hook up a +12v power source to the window motor itself to see if they're the problem. Also verify fuses' condition. Both the respective door's switch and the switches on the driver door switch pack don't move the window at all?

The switches are missing from both doors. My driver switch pack worked to move the right rear until it went out also.

I would test the window motors, and if they check out get some door switches from that junkyard QX4 for the respective doors. It's possible that the windows require the switches to operate. I can test this for you with my PF if you'd like before you shell out for the switches.

How is the switch broken? Perhaps some solder joints on the PCB have become faulty, you could probably fix it with a soldering iron and half an hour. What happened to the driver's rear door switch?

Drivers side rear has been missing since I got the car. I remember now that a friend was messing with the switch to fix it and when we put it back in the window quit working

Do you know that part number on them might just order replacements. If you get a chance see if your window works with the switch disconnected. Thanks.

25750M looks like the part # for the window switches, but I think it'd be best to phone your local Infiniti dealer and give them your VIN so you can verify the part # and see how their prices are. I will go see if my windows work with disconnected switches now.

EDIT: Door switches on the respective door are required for operation, even if using the driver door switch pack. Do you have the actual trim piece/cover and are just missing the switch itself for your one door that has none, or are you missing both?

Have the trim just missing the switch.

Try to find some Pathfinder switches - I'm sure they're electrically compatible. Not sure if QX4's looks different, but at least then you'd have working windows. Maybe disassemble the nonfunctional switch to try to find an obvious issue, and check the wiring harness for damage.

Most power widows are fused to protect the wires and also have in line self-resettable breakers, these breakers stop excess amperage when the window is at its extreme run. Likely these devices are no good, they are usually very close to the motor. A line fuse can be good while the breaker is no good, result no window operation. Also the plugs used to join these components may be burned. When a motor for a window gets used a lot the brushes could wear down, then it stops working.

These problems mean getting inside the door to check things out.
