No .. the bottom of the window glass would hit the door where it meets the wheel well.

Are you 100% sure about that and opened the door panel and checked for yourself? I heard it is a safety precaution for kids. The 04-08 Maximas do roll all the way down and there body is very very close to ours. The length and width are the same as well. My father owns a 05 Maxima so I have compared the two very closely. I know there doors are almost identical. SOOO I think there is way you just need to open both door panels and compare.
