you know the one above the rear defoggers? Just wondering if anyone knew if it was possibly to use that antena on my deck? I've heard its been done, but did a search on this forum and FA to no avail. Just wondering if anyone knew which wires to cut and so on? Would I attach it to the power antena wire coming from my deck?

sorry, I'm a real noob when it comes to wiring things.

thanks

PauL

The power antenna wire is for operating the mast. The antenna mast and window antenna are connected together. I assume if you are using the mast , you are using the window antenna. Not sure how you connect the antenna lead to a non factory deck.I have to check to see if i have a window antenna on my 1991.

Nope, I'm probably really wrong. Power antenna refers to the electronic amplification not the retraction/extension of physical mast. The efforts of the mast and window antenna are coordinated by the circuit.

I am pretty sure that that window antenna is used when you plug in the normal coaxial antenna.
