rear wheel steering

does rear wheel steering(RWS) get affected is you install a different LSD? And does RWS work when you swap engines ie RB25DET?

which car in the nissan line-up has rear-wheel steering? or are we talking HICAS? if we are, then i'll shut up. . . i dunno anything about HICAS. . .

HICAS IS ESSENTIALLY RWS. BUT FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD THE DIFF CHANGE MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS BUT SHOULDN'T AND WITH THE RB MOTORS MOST THE SKYLINES HAVE HICAS, SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: NO IT SHOULDN'T.

YEAH ACTUALLY YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE LIKE A SILVIA LSD BECAUSE YOU'LL GET ALOT BETTER ACCELERATION OUT OF IT. COMPARED TO THE LOWER WHEEL RATIO OF THE GTR'S. THE HIGHER THE NUMBER THE QUICKER THE ACCEL, THE LOWER THE NUMBER THE HIGHER THE TOP SPEED.

do you happen to know if the GTR is a 1, 1.5, 2.0 way LSD?

I miss HICAS. . some people hate it, but gawd what a nice system.

Wish S14 (other than silvia) came with it. . stock handling in my S13 was better than most modded S14s.

BTW. . YOU DON'T REALLY NEED TO USE CAPS HERE, WE'RE ALL GROWN UP AND CAN DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN CAPITAL AND LOWERCASE STUFF.

well hicas is more than just the diff...it's a comptuer controlled ssytem from what i know and involves a diff rear control arm...among other things

the ENTIRE package consists of rear wheel steering (speed sensitive, electro-hydraulic controlled), thicker sway bars, stiffer springs, tighter ratio steering, VLSD. .

at low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction as the front (only by 1-2 degrees). . at higher speeds, they kick opposite of the front for a bit, then turn and settle in the same direction. . the reason for this is to sorta. . tighten up the steering a bit. . the system is awesome, IMO. . .95g on skidpad, with h rated tires. . .88 without hicas. .

a certain Don Nimi hit 1.22, and held at 1.14 by ONLY changing his tires to r compound racing tires. .
