How difficult is it to replace the passenger rear wheel spindle. My daughters 92 stanzas wheel actually broke off when she ran off the road.I've replaced cv axles before, but never thought of something like this.Any help would be appreciated.

You mean the hub bolts (the 4 bolts that come out and bolt down the wheel)?

Spindle knuckles, from my experience, are not that hard to replace at all, expecially when you dont have to deal with axels. Must have been one hell of a bump (slid into a curb?) to crack off the spindle from the knuckle. After you find a replacement peice, should only be a few bolts.

NO it was not the bolts that hold on the wheel. It was the actual shaft that goes through the brake drum. After checking with junk yards they say I have to replace the entire strut system, because its made all together. I don't like that idea, but if i must i will. If anyone has done this I would like to know any pitfalls to look out for.thanksbuford

I replace the wheel assembly this weekend. It turns out you replace the entire strut assemly not just the wheel spindle. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The hardest part came when trying to attach the stablizing bar that was bent also. I had to take it off and straighten it which took about as long as the rest of the installation took. Its up and running again.thanks for all the inputBuff
