Has anyone had this problem with one of their wheels locking up whil driving really slow like 5mph? My left rear wheel does it especially on slippery ground!! I've already adjusted the brakes twice but after two days it starts again!! All this happened when I replaced the shoes!! Any advice?

It's been a while since I worked on drum brakes but...
There's usually a longer shoe that goes in the front.
Maybe you have them switched.
Or possibly the brake hose has partially collapsed.

Kinda sounds like the tension springs are not pulling the shoes back or the wheel cylinders not sliding back into the bore.

Hmm Imma check to see if the longer shoe is up front on both sides!! I've thought of buying a rear brake kit to replace the springs but I'm not sure if that would cause it!! Imma take a good look at the brakes and ill repost!!

Check that all moving parts are clean and move freely, when you jack up the rear rotate tire and see if one wheel is dragging

A leaky wheel cylinder can lead to grabby brakes.

Before you adjust the shoes - Make sure the hand brake is completely off - Make sure the shoes are centered - Make sure the self adjuster wheels are on the correct side. Make sure the area where the shoes make contact with the backing plate is clean (apply a little lube ) When you adjust the brakes it is best to support the rear end with jack stands or a floor jack. When you replace the shoes its best to service the wheel cylinder. Its possible the cylinder bore is corroded, when you install new shoes the piston in the cylinder moves toward the center into the corroded area causing it to stick.

I haven't had a chance to look at the rear brakes due to other issues with my truck!! I need to patch up two tires due to nails and also I need to replace the water pump and maybe the belts!! These things are priority for rite now and the brakes are going to wait before I look at them incase i have to put some money on them!! Ill definitely get back to this thread when the brakes are looked at and fixed!!

*SOLVED*

Because this is one of the first things that comes up on google, I wanted to solve this because I ran into this problem with my 720 and have been dealing with this MOFO problem for the past two weeks (while driving it). My truck was doing fine once I adjusted the star adjuster for about 50 miles and then it would revert back to locking up under light pressure. I replaced every soring and retainer + wheel cylinders and no help. I bought drum shoes 3 times in 2 weeks. The solution was my parking brake. One of them was frozen and the method used to auto-adjust in these trucks is to pull the parking brake not driving backwards and stopping. DRIVING BACKWARDS AND STOPPING DOES NOT WORK. I have verified this by going to a brake and clutch shop and inquiring about this. He pulled out this crazy Nissan book that had a picture of my exact brakes on it and said that you pull the parking brake to engage the star wheel (self adjuster). Remember, make sure your parking brake is functioning and both sides are working correctly and adjusted correct.
