Does anyone have any information about the 3 wires going to the rear view mirror? Specifically which is 12+V and which is ground? I would guess that the middle (black) is going to be the ground but the other 2 I'm not sure about. I don't have voltmeter either to test.

ThanksJeff2007 M35 Sport

That would be great. I'm hoping to wire up my radar to the back of the rear view mirror. Just like the invisiwire solution but with an inline fuse for extra protection.

I am also trying to wire my detector into the mirror wiring and any help would be appreciated.

Some additional comments that I think may apply. This is from the Service Manual and it shows three wires:

1. The Black/Yellow wire comes straight from the battery.

2. The Black/Red comes through the ignition switch.

3. The Black wire is ground.

The pin number is different for the Mirror wiring, depending on whether you have the Homelink Universal transmitter or not. You should be able to figure this out. If not, let me know and I will post the Service Manual page ...

I should add that this information is from the 2006 M Service Manual and is probably valid for the 2007 too (which is what I think you have! Cool! )

Thanks for the update.

As stated Black is ground.Black with Yellow stripe is constant 12VBlack with Red stripe is a switched 12V.

Just got done building my cable and it works great. So nice have power to the Radar without the ugly wires. Best part is I didn't have to open anything up or wire it back to a fuse box.

Thanks again.Jeff

Sorry I haven't got any pics up. Once my wife saw I was able to do it for my car I had to do it for her Yukon. It was her Radar anyways as she is the one always getting pulled over speeding so I couldn't really confiscate it.

The hardest part of the install was locating pins small enough to fit into the back of the Infiniti mirror plug. Thankfully we have a Electronic Parts Outlet here. .10/pin, 1.50 for heat shrink tubing, and 5.99 for a telephone cord.

I'll see if I can get it back in my car this weekend and snap a few pics. If not I can show it on her car as it is the same thing only a bigger harness with about 20 wires because of OnStar.

Hi there,

Do you have the power dimming rear view mirror in your M?

If yes, Stealth Cords has a very easy to install solution. Plus, as a new Nico Club sponsor we're having a sale.

Check it out here...
