I read the the droopy mirror, and my 1997 Q45 also has the same problem. qship's note about the rubber plug to gain access to the set screw was a correct assessment. Problem two is that I cannot see what type of screw it is. There is a cover plate I belief to take mirror down but do not want to pry on it. I really do not want to mar it but it will not come off just by hand but looks like it should. So, if someone knows how to remove the plate to take down mirror or knows what tool to tighten set screw I would be highly appreciative, and thanks in advance.

remove rubber plug,insert phillips driver and turn clockwise-done!
