Rear view camera on 2010 SL

Has anyone had nissan install a rearview camera on their rogue?? just picked up my car after they've installed one...and i feel like its a sh*t job. I was told they were going to mount a new rearview mirror with the screen built into it so u can view the mirror and the screen simultaneously when reversing. So i get my car...and i see Robocop's PSP clipped over the stock mirror and it just looks unnatural...its not the most fantastic output display but it def helps ...it does the job but its an eyesore in my interior.

If they told you they were going to swap the mirror for one with the display built in, then you should have walked right back into the shop and told them to fix it. The mirror is nice (I have it in my S 360) and much much more expensive than the little clip on display. They cheaped out on you and it's up to you to call them on it.

I once ordered a Toyota alarm system on one of my cars. When I picked it up, they handed me an Audiovox remote. I handed it back to them and said, "I can buy that alarm for $80. I want the $300 Toyota factory-integrated alarm that I paid for. They swapped it.

oh my god...Your kidding right? This is an April fools joke...okay wait it's the freaking 9th! Don't let them leave that crap on. If it was some affordable deal ...maybe.

But if its the Nissan installed ($525) option....umm the expensive one like they have in the vehicles that came with it. Well it damn better look like those then. No way in hell I would have that look in my NEW car.

Will you bring up the so-called Jersey Shore (not hoping to offend but you know what i mean) attitude in da house, come on now. I definitely don't see a Jersey citizen taking that crap from any dealership.



Tell your dealership to fuggedaboutit and give you the real deal!

Oh yeah ..no doubt...i def plan on going back for yet another battle with them ..i just couldn't stay 'coz i had to squeeze it in between meetings to pick the damn thing up. Granted they gave me the camera in "for free" (because the rearview visibility was a huge problem for a shortey like me), which doesn't really mean sh*t coz they just added that price to the car. but thanks...i wanted to confirm that i wasn't crazy when i thought that mirror was supposed to look like the one on that picture. Frikkin wankers....

Well i just got my rogue 4 weeks ago. I had the dealership install the Azentek Smart Mirror (http://www.azentekonline.com/cms/content/view/79/180/) which has a rearview camera AND a navigation system in the rearview mirror. And the best part is you don't lose visibility in the actual rear view mirror. I recommend asking your nissan dealership about it.

looks great! nice and clean setup. i'd consider if there was no bluetooth in it. I'm happy with the betty's built in bluetooth...its overkill to doublw up..heheheh...but great choice! are you happy with the bluetooth speaker quality? and the navi is with voice i assume?

Yea its a clean set up. The mirror has a built in speaker but it's really loud and clear so I'm fine with it. And yes the navigation does have voice. It worked out for me because i didnt have bluetooth in my car but i see what you mean when you don't want to double up lol.
