I am trying to get some feed back from people who have purchased the various RUCA's on the market right now. Quality of construction, durability, ease of use, etc.

I was thinking about purchasing either the Tanabe arm's or Battle Version, so comments on thoughs 2 would be most appreciated but if more people respond positively about another set I might go with that.

I would vote for Cusco.

Two major reasons, one is Cusco always comes with a testing report.Second is it's the only one comes with rubber seal covering up the ball joint which is my major concern for street use.

Battle Version found by friend of mine, good quality and reasonable price.

Does the Battle Version piece have anything that helps keep the dirt out?

I was thinking tanabe because it is suppost to come with a dust boot, but the rubber seal on the Cusco piece will work too.

I dont think the heim joint on the RUCA would receieve enoiugh dirt and grim to really "necessitate" a little boot over the joint. It is both high up, inside the wheel well, and in some cases inside(underneath?) the tire...

anyways, cusco makes great stuff, but russ' cusco RUCA got rusted and wouldnt move more than 1 thread back and forth after only a year :/

I love my battle version front t/c rods, and I relaly like the way the tanabe "drift spec" line looks, but I havent had a chance to check it out myself yet.-chet

Spray em w/ a little lube if they look dirty. They'll last at least a few years.

Was looking online found RUCA made by a company called Kazama. Anybody heard about them? Plus they also called something called a "rear rocker set." What's that?

Sure, Kazama makes good stuff. IIRC, they have the boot as well. Send me a link of the rear rocker set b/c I'm not quite sure what your talking about.

Hey boss,

I have Battle Version front T/C rods myself and I'll tell you what, the finish and quality of the materials is great!! Also, I was leaking about a quart of oil a week for seven months through my front crank seal and all of that was going all over the Battle Version units to the point where they were so caked with oil, dirt and grime that you couldn't tell they weren't stock.......

After finally fixing the seal, stopping the leak and cleaning the engine bay, the BV arms look as good as the day I got them. Hands down I will definately be purchasing BV units for the rear!!

I'm sorry, but I don't know what they are talking about. They have to be referring to either the toe arm or the foward links. You'd have to email them.
