corn322,

The track of a car is the distance between wheel centers laterally.

Or said differently, the distance from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting laterally + or - the total of the wheel off-set (+/-).

The stock off-set on the '89 wheels I believe is 40mm.

Sorry corn322 but it can't be measured accurately with a tape measure.

Besides, I think I hear your Mother calling you anyway. ;-0

I should have known a forum like this would be packed with 18-20 year olds with lots of growing up to do and even more to learn about cars.

so let's see...you come on here, asking a question with a term that people don't usually use when referring to that particular dimension ("track" vs "offset"). A member makes an honest effort to help you, despite your lack of research, and purposely over-complex wording. Then, when he can't, you insult him, and most of the forum. I think you need to reread your own immature statements. If that's your attitude towards other enthusiasts, this forum will definitely be better off without you. Go check out freshalloy, I think you'll fit in much better over there.
