Well the front tires are fine and that is where most of the weight is, for some reason only the rear tires are worn downPhEnoM78 wrote:um if there the crappy continentals than thats the prob if not seems fishy
are they just the rear tires wearing or all four evenly?Colton92 wrote:Hey my Falken 912 225/45/18 are also wearing down pretty fast i think i got like 10,000 on them and they are worn pretty bad...idk why
Well I would believe that the eibach springs, sway bar and low pro tires would add enough stiffness to the suspension that it created this problem in the "toe" alinement. I am out of the phase of having a cool looking car. I am going to bring my altima coupe back to stock starting with original allows and tires.beeristasty wrote:A 5 second google search would have told you what "toe" is, and how it has nothing to do with lowering springs, sway bar and low pros.
Well one of the rear wheels did have bend in it with the lip, everyone said it should be fine since the tire keeps air. 4500 miles later and my back tires were worn down to the wear bars and feathered because the toe was way out of alinement. Not sure if the bent rim caused this as it was hardly noticable.bunda4th wrote:Seem to be a cambering issue or a bent wheel. I have negative camber and my tires are evenly worn. Should try and see if the tires off balance or bent in any way. I only doubt its the cambering issue since eibach does not change the camber that bad. If anything inspect the wheels to see if its bent in anyway and photos would be nice to see where and how they are worn.
Are you quoting the "tech" who worked on your car? If this was the case, then 75% of the altima owners on this forum would have this problem. I did a little reading about this company, and if I was a betting man, I would say that:sraetdica wrote: Well I would believe that the eibach springs, sway bar and low pro tires would add enough stiffness to the suspension that it created this problem in the "toe" alinement. Soooooo....... you have to get an alinement after you install eibach springs?HuyyNguyen wrote:sounds to me that your camber is wayy off PLUS you have flat tires...combine the 2 and i would say a few months before you see the metal...
When i installed my springs..i ran with it without alignment for a good few months and my rear tires were balled out badly(i also at a needle in them so i had to air pump every few weeks) finally went to get an alignment and the guy told me my rear camber was off badly and he expected up to 3 months before those rears get bad.
Yup although many advocate to drive around for a while to let the springs settle in first. I'm not sure how much they want you to drive around, maybe 300 miles worth perhaps?sraetdica wrote:Soooooo....... you have to get an alinement after you install eibach springs?
