2008 altima coupe 2.5s

Eibach pro lowering springs

Stillen sway bar

225/45ZR18/RF FALKEN FK452

All three were installed by BIG O tires.

Only 4,500 miles on them

Daily driver to work, no racing or excessive winding roads.

"Rear tires worn down to wear bars" - Nissan dealership/replace asap

I am looking for information and even advice on what could be the problem and maybe what to do? I need information so I don't make a mistake or lose money on fixing this problem

Well the front tires are fine and that is where most of the weight is, for some reason only the rear tires are worn down

are they just the rear tires wearing or all four evenly?

OP, put a penny in the treads and take a picture, with lincons head tucked into the treads, lets see what you actually have...

YOU see the belts or the dealership said it?

I had that same issue... My rears were worn way before my fronts were.

I went to Big O tires and they checked it out and said my "tow" was way out of alinement which meant my back tires were getting eaten alive. I don't know what tow means but if you have lowering springs and sway bar with low pro tires it could happen to you too. They didn't charge me for getting that fixed even though they could have. The bad news is the tires weren't at fault, so two new tires of the same kind is 360 dollars. He told me the life span of low pro high performance tires is 15 - 20k miles and it would be cheaper to put my allows back on with regular tires that have triple the life time and it would cost the same.

A 5 second google search would have told you what "toe" is, and how it has nothing to do with lowering springs, sway bar and low pros.

Well I would believe that the eibach springs, sway bar and low pro tires would add enough stiffness to the suspension that it created this problem in the "toe" alinement. I am out of the phase of having a cool looking car. I am going to bring my altima coupe back to stock starting with original allows and tires.

Seem to be a cambering issue or a bent wheel. I have negative camber and my tires are evenly worn. Should try and see if the tires off balance or bent in any way. I only doubt its the cambering issue since eibach does not change the camber that bad. If anything inspect the wheels to see if its bent in anyway and photos would be nice to see where and how they are worn.

Well one of the rear wheels did have bend in it with the lip, everyone said it should be fine since the tire keeps air. 4500 miles later and my back tires were worn down to the wear bars and feathered because the toe was way out of alinement. Not sure if the bent rim caused this as it was hardly noticable.

Are you quoting the "tech" who worked on your car? If this was the case, then 75% of the altima owners on this forum would have this problem. I did a little reading about this company, and if I was a betting man, I would say that:
1) The screwballs that worked on your car jacked up your rear alignment when you had them install your sway bar, springs, and tires (+rims? maybe they bent your rim during tire installation...)
2) A few thousand miles later, you notice your tires suck and decide to take it back in to them
3) They take a look, and tell you it's an alignment issue and that your dead tires are not under warranty
4) They "fix" this issue (which has magically appeared soon after they worked on your car), they sell you:
a) a new pair of tires, and
b) an alignment service.

And this is all on top of the original install price you paid 4500 miles ago.
.
.
.
5) Then, maybe a few thousand miles later...

You might want to get the wheel fix. Even a slight bent can screw up the way it rotates just you wont notice it. When i went to the place to pick up my wheels and tires this girl in an altima with wheels had 2 bent wheels where it hold airs but the tires were completely worn down and she said it was new tires to. Bent wheels can cause bad tire wear. Even if it holds air. Also having the alignment off can give uneven tire wear as well.

If you google "Toe Alignment" and read up on it, it should not be the cause of if the tire wear is on the inside or out. That would be caused by the camber negative or positive camber. I would say there was a screw up during an install and that your alignment was done incorrectly to cause this.

sounds to me that your camber is wayy off PLUS you have flat tires...combine the 2 and i would say a few months before you see the metal...

When i installed my springs..i ran with it without alignment for a good few months and my rear tires were balled out badly(i also at a needle in them so i had to air pump every few weeks) finally went to get an alignment and the guy told me my rear camber was off badly and he expected up to 3 months before those rears get bad.

Yup although many advocate to drive around for a while to let the springs settle in first. I'm not sure how much they want you to drive around, maybe 300 miles worth perhaps?

Most alinements cost 150 dollars, for a full alinement atleast. I wonder if they check everything that needs to be checked? I know if you ask a mechanic or the dealership, they will tell you that it will cost more and you just shot yourself in the foot by asking questions instead of letting them do what they do. Do camber adjustments come into play at a price of 150?

Come on guys. Yes the OEM tires suck, but have have you actually even taken the time to actually look at the angle of the rear tires after the Eibach springs go on? You can tell by looking your tires are f***ed before you even drive on it.

This is kinda par for the course on a lowered car if everything isn't as it should be, regardless of what it is.

Camber kit, alignment and it'll be fixed unless the wheel itself is very bent.

The First time was last year around this time of the year i noticed on the highway when it rained the car pulled hard to the left then right so i took it in to the stealership and said it might haved been a pot hole that did that then few days later my tires went out thats when i berly had 14k i replaced the tires got an alignment and the tires went bald again at 21k so i wasted 500 on just the first pair of tires 89 on the first 4 wheel alignment then again another 435 on the other pair of tires and 100 on the other alignment and 120 to reset a alignment chip that the car has and the light reads SLIP. cause my vdc will turn off automatically everytime they said it wasnt cover by the warranty.. here is a picture with like 4 lights on my cluster

excuse me for the crappy cellphone picture. (iwas driving) as you can i was doing about 60mph
