Ok Madmike here it is I once read an article that addressed just this. You could tint the plastic window using static cling film you carefully clean the rear window and the tint is applied to the outside instead of to inside you would spray soap and water and apply it just like regular tint. Once applied you could raise and lower the top like normal and the tint would stay in place when it did begin to bubble in about 2 to 3 months you just simply pull it off about half way and fold it over wash the window and the tint and reaply do the same for the other half. I followed the directions to the letter and I have to addmit it works mine lasted about about 3 months before I had wash and reapply. Here comes the big but I discovered a big problem with this every place that a small bubble or ripple developed in the tint it tranfers to the window when I finally remove the tint my rear window had what looked like pot marks and inperfections all over it in time with the tint gone they cleared some but never went away. My rear window was perfect before and now looks like crap the only way to fix it now is to replace it. The window as far as clarity and pliablity is still great and the window would be perfect if it wasn't for those marks left my the tint. My suggestion is if you really want your rear window tinted have the entire window replaceed with a tinted one if avalible.
