Ok I have searched quite a bit and come up with various things that don't sound (literally) like what I have.

So one day I notice this weird tick noise (like metal on metal) on the rear passenger side near my strut tower when I went over a speed bump. So what? Then it gets more frequent, and now even low idle vibrations and small road imperfections make this annoying ticking noise. Could someone please help me identify what this might possibly be?

Ideas that I have found or come up with are possibly bad strut, pillow mount, carrier bearing, or broken tack weld (hopefully not).

To be more specific about the sound, it sounds like someone taking a coin and repeatedly hitting it against metal in my car.

Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

Are you using coilovers if you are are your spaner(sp) nuts tight and up againest each other.

Have you looked at the easyest stuff 1st like maybe your back seat is locked in place (happen when i had a civic hb ) Are there rocks or a nail or screw in your tire that would make a ticking or tapping noise . Thats all i can think of .

No coilovers, just stock suspension. Also, it sounds like it is in the car, not outside. When I took out the interior (when the problem first showed) the ticking noise was REALLY loud. I recently put it back in due to this annoyance.

Also it couldn't be my wheel bearing I don't think, because it ticks even when I am at a stand still.
