Rear thumping or thud: Loose rear differential bolts

Drive: 2009 SL AWD

Problem: Loud thump that could be felt randomly when backing up or going forward on a tight turn.

Solution: Took into dealer and they discovered " the bolts that hold the rear differential in place were loose. Tightened and drove, OK"

We'll see if this works.
