So I'm going to have access to the rear suspension (sub frame) out of a 94 Q45 that i may be swapping on my 86 300zx.
Unfortunately the car this is coming off of did not come with a rear sway bar.

If anyone has a Q45 rear sway bar around that they could measure, could you fill in the measurements shown in the following picture?
Trying to do a little fact finding.

Thanks

are you sure the Q subframe even fits on the Z ? they are different width vehicles.

Q45 is super wide, and even a z32 sway bar is too narrow. I doubt there is another that will bolt on.

Are they wider then the Z32 subframe hub to hub? People have successfully installed the z32 frames, i understand i may have to watch my wheel offsets in order to get the wheels flush with the fenders, but this is just math.

Ken's swap using a Z32 NA rear suspension. I believe he (or tempastasZ) was one of the first people to do it and post about it:

All suspension arms from the z32 fit the Q45 and everyone seems to think they are the same, so i was thinking maybe it may be close enough.. Do you have a Q45 rear bar to measure?

I have one in my garage... I'll try to measure it for you tomorrow.

That would be great, thanks Heath.
Do you know if there is a particular reason a Z32 sway bar can not be used?
I understand all the suspension arms are interchangeable between the z32 and the Q, but i do not know beyond that.

The subframe itself is wider, by a few inches.

Dam thats what i was afraid of.. I'll have to get the one pulled off the Q i have and get it measured up to see.
I don't have a Z32 sub frame so i can't compare.. I have heard of people swapping everything over to a S13 frame and using the drivers side half shafts from the Q45 on one side and the drivers side shaft from a Z32tt on the other. This is to keep using the diff and VLSD from the Q45, which is a R200 but with larger output shafts. The crappy thing is i had a sub frame from a S13 in my shop at one time, but never thought about doing this and it got cleaned out.. I'll have to see if i can find something cheap.

If you happen to have a S32 and/or Q45 sub frame, could you measure it?

I dont have a subframe, but I do have a q45. I will see if I can get some loose measurements from the car.
