So, after reading too much, I'm noticing a little "sag" in my baby's trunk. (yes, I'm talking about the truck).

Only 61k miles. Would you worry about it?

It's tough to tell in the pic, but my driveway is sloped a little down. I checked the shocks, and I have a little leakage on the driver side rear shock.

Thanks for the link. Does the 1/2 inch lift look funny if you don't do the front?

a leaky shock will not affect ride height. it is the coil spring which supports the weight of the vehicle.

leaky shocks need to be replaced. i had to replace mine. push the back and see if the back bounces up and down. if so, time for replacement.

I don't know if this has anything to do with your situation, but I'll throw this out nonetheless...

About 6 months after buying our 2002 (new in June 2002), I noticed the rear end was a bit saggy... like someone was sitting in the backseat... even when they weren't. Also, when my kids were in the back while driving, the rear would bottom on occasion. Both items surprised me considering the Pathfinder is such a genuine SUV with a truck-stiff suspension. Something seemed wrong.

Found out about a TSB about the big solid rubber inserts inside the rear coil springs that cure the bottoming out and rear sag. Dealer ordered the replacement "bump stops" immediately. Once installed, it cured the rear sag. And no more bottoming to this day. The difference was and still is remarkable. Other than that little hiccup and a blown fan controller, our Pathy has been near perfection... just hitting 60K miles.

This TSB I mentioned might help solve your problem. Then again, it might not apply to you.

Good Luck.
