Is it possible to replace the RUCA's on an S13 w/ HICAS to fix the camber problem without changing the other arms and not throw off the geometry. The reason I ask is because I CAN'T change the other arms with the HICAS setup without removing it which I would love to do, but don't have the money. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice, but I need to know for sure. Right now I just want to replace the RUCA's and leave everything else and I need to know if I can do this.

Yes you can replace your rear upper control arms with those from a HICAS-equipped 240SX

Maybe I need to rephrase this question. I have a slammed HICAS equipped S13 with a rear camber problem. The way to correct this problem is by replacing the rear upper control arm with adjustible ones. My question is if I could do this without having to replace the other arms. I was told by a friend that if I replace the RUCA that I would need to replace the other arms because it would throw everything else off. Thanks.

WOULD THAT TYPE OF PROBLEM MAKE THE WHEEL TILT INWARDS BECAUSE MY DRIVER SIDE REAR LOOKS LIKE THIS /----|. THE LEFT TIRE IS TILTED IN. WHY?

OK first off if your car is slammed, suspension is already compressed. You have in effect, already thrown off all oem suspension geometry. Putting on an adjustable ruca would allow a greater range of adjustability. So what is the goal of the new ruca? Want more negative camber? Want to be able to reset to the oem setting?Generalization:On our cars, as suspension travels, the top of the tire tilts inward. Called negative camber.Xckid:if you have one tire tilting in and one not tilting in, you need to take the car to an alignment shop that can diagnose. you have a combination of bent parts, worn suspension(usually bushings) or both.

Yes you can use any off the shelf RUCA.

The only arms you can't install with functioning HICAS are the toe arms (obviously), and the traction arms (too rigid to allow proper operation of HICAS)

Things do not just fix themselves.

Inspect your rear suspension for bends, dents, and worn bushings. The RUCA bolt might also be loose, which can cause camber to rotate in and out as you twist the bolt.

Thanks, I knew that I couldn't change my other arms with the HICAS system, but I did want to fix my negative camber. I just wanted to find out if this was possible to fix by only replacing the RUCA.
