rear suspension lubrication?

Hi Guys,

Quick question, when I go over a speed bump slightly faster than if I had a sleeping baby in my car, the rear sounds like it is grinding metal on metal in terms of the shocks/struts/ whatever is back there. Does the suspension system need to be lubricated or anything? I'm only at 44k and have had the car for 4 years.
