Hey guys,

So I've had my AC 3.5 for 3 years now and it has 52000KM on it. I installed Eibachs after the first 10 000km roughly. So 40 000km later, I now notice that my rear suspension has given out. The struts are leaking oil. I'm told that once they start to leak, I should seek replacement ASAP. So I'm pretty upset with Nissan. My warranty is up, I believe its 3 years or 50,000 KM (I'm almost up to 3 years, a few months more). So now i have to seek aftermarket parts, and I havent been able to find many things for the AC. I'm looking for replacement shocks/ coilovers (BC coilovers, i guess) or any other company. Could you also refer me to where I would buy them?

Thanks

Dissapointed with nissan? when you install lowering springs it will negatively affect your struts because they're taking on more load than they were designed for. short term it's not a big deal, maybe your struts have given out a bit earlier than others but it's still the risk you take when you lower your car without replacing the struts. also, your warranty would not have covered this. installing eibachs doesn't void your car's warranty, but it will void the warranty for any part which is damaged solely becaues of the installation of an aftermarket part, which in this case it is.

Yeah. Thats what happens when you put on aftermarket springs. Next time do your research before hand. Get some coilovers. I am having BC coils installed by SD Motorsports for 1250 with a reset after 500 miles.

Yep - there is nothing aftermarket for shocks and struts for our cars. Your warranty on your struts was gone the second you put Eibachs on them. Live and learn - stinks though, sorry to hear it.

Coilovers are the one true way to go for lowering these cars. People just have a hard time saving for good coils when they can have the look for $250. Up front, it's awesome. In the long run, you'll pay the same money you would have paid for coilovers.

Tein all the way. They were R&Ded properly and are rebuildable, making them the best choice for people who do more than just go to car shows with their Altimas.
