Post

Hi all, I did try my way through searching the forums, but did not find a post on addressing a rear sunshade that suddenly stopped working.

The fuse is fine, and I don't hear any noise out back when I touch the switch for raising or lowering the sunshade. It was working just fine, and simply stopped. I have the FSM and am ready to 'do something' to fix it.

Is there a 'usual suspects' lineup for resolving this? I really like the idea of using the sunshade, but am willling to let it be if too costly to repair.

Thanks in advance,
George

Usually the bods bet bent jamming it. There might be one instance of having the motor replaced.

Is it down or up?

Mine got stuck up twice in 5 years - I just helped it along, and then it went back to normal indefinitely.

Down.. it literally worked, and then when I went to raise the shade, nothing.

Thanks, the M3 is indeed a sweet ride... the Q45t helps me appreciate it even more.

I couldn't find a delete post button, and when I tried to simply edit out the content of the duplicate post, it rejected my edit... I'd love to delete the post, but I'm a bit incompetent about finding the delete button.. any suggestions?

Thanks

Perhaps there's an internal bind - have a friend push the button while you LIGHTLY pull upwards on it. But if like you're saying you hear NO noise at all, then you need to start with fuses.
