Has anyone had problems with their rear sun shade and how did you trouble shoot?

When I push the button on console, there is a slight click in the rear, but no motor. I havn't checked the switch, but I feel like it is getting power to the back. I'm a new owner and wondering if this is an inherent problem.

If the extensions scissors are bent, it is.

Is the back window tinted?

This car was owned by an older Physcian in Florida. Has 42,000 miles, so it wasn't abused and I don't think he used the sun shade much.

No tint in FL? Was he a vampire? Dr. Von Helsing, I presume?

Might have to pull it out to check operation.

I have the same problem. I found a broken gear. Not sure if there is a replacement gear.

Dr. Van Helsing...good one... When I think about it, he was pale and only wanted to do business at night.

How do you get to this rear shade? DO you have to go through the rerar shelf?
