rear subframe mounts

i want to stop the wheel hop in my s13. whats the difference between subfrmae collars, subframe bushings inserts, and subframe spacres. what ones will work the best or what would you recomend.

collars and spacers same thing. Insert you burn/remove rubber bushing and install full aluminum bushing. Inserts are stiffer, collars help alot but raise the rear about a 1/4" right? Since the subframe sits that much lower...

i have collars and in my s14 and the rear is not any higher than the front

Kind of off topic. I hear people say that their is no rear subframe since our cars are unibody, anyone wanna clear that up for me?

no there are rear subframes in the 240

is ther much noticable difference between the collars and inserts. and how much work is it to remove/burn the original ones out.

its a b**** to remove the stock ones

especially getting the metal collars out

just get the metal collars

its good enough

i have solid mounts; its pretty stiff

wish i wouldve went nismo route or somethin

yeah its a b**** to remove the bushing.....if ur not that good with cars, i dont reccomend u do it urself because U WILL GIVE UP...take it to a shop....(Luckily PBM is local and i run their solid frame rizers.Ride is a little harsher, but not as harsh as coils on full hard.No more wheel hop =]

dont really care about the ride i dont think my suspension moves its set so hard haha. and i am good with cars and have acces to a large mechanics shop if i cant get it out i will get the front end and suspension tech to help me out

yeah man i reccomend the replacing ur subframe bushing, especially if u wanna remove ur wheel hop.U can go rubber with nismo or solid such as SPL or PBM.

ya thats what im looking to get ride of any idea how long it takes to drop a subframe.

Undo 4 bolts that hold the subframe up, rubber mallet/prybar, done Unless theres any more needed to drop it. Search for the DIY. User post pics of him burning out the bushings, and lists the steps, its on here wont take long to find.
