What's the best way to tell if my rear subframe has been damaged by a rear hit?

I had a light rear hit at around 3 mph, in parking lot, by SUV cracked left rear lens and made a small dent in left rear quarter panel.

Also split paint a bit.

My rear subframe has been replaced about 2 yrs ago and therefore should be in great shape.

What are the symptoms of a damaged subframe that can be reavealed by physical inspection?

(other than checking alignment which I will do anyway)

X ray the bushing! Excuse me Doc can I put my subframe in the CAT machine.......good to be friendly with that cute xray tech.

You know actually a sonogram machine would work but you can't get a direct couple to the bushing like you can with a tummy?

It takes more than the hit you described to hurt it plus the rubber surround is still pliable, it is when they are old 6-7-8 years old and partially cracked ozonated that stress occurs and then the silicone leaks out ......think tension rod with less movement.

{{How many miles on the SZ50EP now? Great tire isn't it...have 16k and they look like they will go the full 22-25k}}

Thanks Dennis,

makes me feel better.

As for the Firehawks:I think I am at 10,000 miles now w/ the SZ50EPs.

They are still looking good, seem to hold balance ok (will rebalance soon to find out for sure).

Some wear is evident especially on the edges.(Keep them at 40psi in front 37 in rear)

Still grippy too.
