I was running subframe spacers along with my coilovers and everything, and had two problems: 1) the ride was indeed really, really stiff to the point of being uncomfortable, and 2) I had a lot of noise and clunks from the rear. I took the spacers out and the car rides a LOT better and doesn't make near the noise.

It rides like it has a new pair of shoes on the rear. Everything is tight but not too tight. No more creaking rear end. No more bucking when I let out the clutch. No more loud thunk sound from the rear when I downshift. Ahh so nice!

My review? Anyone riding around on the original stock bushings should get these right away. You will feel a difference in your ride quality, it is like a new car. The only problem? Now that the rear feels so tight and smooth I notice how much I need to work on the front!
For a daily driver, thats not lowered and probably won't ever be, how would you rate these bushings? I'm afraid of making the ride harsh - thats what my TA is for... :D

Sorry about that. I've been fighting lawyers... Takes up most of your time and energy and you just forget about things.

I think the bushings are great. I love them. Road noise is minimal, but above normal since you do have metal against metal now. As for harsh... Stiffer yes, firmer yes, harsh... I would have to say no on this one. If you are on a good road/track these feel smooth as can be to me. Now, if you hit a big pot hole your going to feel it a little more than rubber bushings, for sure. I drive my 240 about every day of the week and love the ride.

P.S. I am going to get my car lowered but only a small bit when I start replacing suspension, tires and rims.

A little more road noise, not much. I guess the best way to describe the sound is a quiet hum from the rear end, nothing that has bothered or been noticed by a passenger.

I had the infamous subframe problem (chunking / skipping in corners / clunking from rear end) and tried the subframe spacers from Kazama ... yeah they fixed the problem for about 4 months ... then the problem came back and only got worse. By the time I got around to replacing the entire bushings in the subframe there was almost nothing left of the front ones ..
Today makes one month to the day that I installed these and they are still holding up great, for now. I figure these will go one day, rubber only lasts so long. I will post if they do, I will also keep everyone informed as to how these are holding out every couple of months.

How does it sound from inside the car? I'm with you on the rubber will eventually wear out part. I'm thinking solid in the future but how harsh is that ride in a daily driver?

A P.S. on this one. I have to remind everyone that I need new motor mounts and a new transmission mount as mine are worn from 10+ years of abuse. (I wanted to be sure to mention this because it could affect the feeling of the ride) I'll be going with nismo mounts for all of that.

Matter of fact, by the time I'm done I'll have bought another 240 or rebuilt this one from the ground up... I know I can't rebuild an engine, I can destroy one but not rebuild. Now I have to find a shop that will do a rebuild for less than $4000 (thats what my mechanic wants even if I buy the kit plus $900 to pull and another $900 to put it back in. Thats about $6k right there! lol). Figure I will have a supercharger kit added while the engine is out of the car, if I can get a better price on the rebuild.
