for under $200 US? I think that is a reasonable request, considering front goes for as low as $40 Canadian.

Oh, I could also use some front pillow mounts as well.

if you guys see one, please email me

I have a couple other buddies who are very interested in this bar.

thanks in advance

Hey there s14, I thought I had read somewhere in the threads that you use sprint springs. How do you like them overall? Which dampers are you using? Thank you!!

Cusco makes several rear bars including a Carbon unit ... which is the $400 bar you saw. You can get the AS I believe for $135. It does a decent job of stiffening the rear as I have it on my car. Its kinda tricky to install by just looking at it. However I fould that you simply disassemble the bar, place the blue ring on the top bolts and tighten them down just enough to hold it in place. Then you screw on the bar and torque the bolts down and your set.

yup, so far, I do like them, for the price I paid. body roll is eliminated, and the car handles much better than stock. Car sits alot lower than I antisipated, but street comfort is still good. I have tokico blues on all 4, HKS rear pillow mounts, OE front and rear sways, FSTB, looking for the rear!!! LOL

exar-kun, I feel like such a newb after your reply! Thanks for the link. Do you know which bar they are advertising here,

http://www.optauto.com/webstor...pt=83

the pic shows 3 bars.

nismo freak, did you have to cut the rear deck (speaker housing) to make the bar fit? OR does the bar sit below the deck (for lack of better words). got any pics?

why are rear bars so much more thanb front ones??????

thanks guys

for my s14 i bought a cusco rear strut bar and it goes below the rear deck. it might seem weird at first but it fits in there perfect. i had a hard time tightening the bolts becuase it was really hard to work back there due to lack of space. nismo makes the rear strut bar that actually goes above the rear deck but i hear that it is really expensive plus it doesnt due that good of a job since it is a lot higher. so i would say the nismo one is more for looks. i got the OS rear strut bar and it was $169. oh and and by the way my front bar was more expensive than the rear one because i got the carbon one, it was like $200 or so. looks pretty damn cool though.:ylsuper

thanks dude, but anything carbon fiber is gonna cost you. So you think anything over the rear deck is for cosmetic purposes only? Those triangular RSTB look pretty damn sturdy, although cost a pretty penny.

yes i think that the ones that go on top for the s14 are not worth it. i mean yeah im sure it is gonna help somewhat, but not as much as the ones that go below. as for the triangular bar you menationed...are you talking about the cusco one? that one i think is only for the s13 fastback. and yes they look very strong! i dont think they make em for s14.

any cusco peice will serve you well. I dont know which is which, I think enjuku racing has descriptions of the differences between the OS, AS, and other cusco STB's...

the NISMO unit works wonderfully, its is very beefy and locks the towers down very well.

a front carbon STB? are you sure ins 100% carbon? or just carbon outside of alluminum(I know cusco makes a bar like that...) I didnt see a strut bar in pure carbon listed for the front of the 240sx(but I have a S13...)

anyways, there ya go.-chet

CUSCO rear strut bar is sweet. Easy to install and looks great. Just disassemble the bar first, then mount in the brackets on each side, but the bar inbetween and tighten. ENJUKU says the OS is better than the AS and it only ran about $165.
