Whats up all? Just wondering if anyone who has or currently ownes a 3rd gen Maxima, has found a rear strut bar from any other year or make and model that will fit. Ive seen some on Maxima.Org but the price was $$$ and right now the money is kinda tight. Just looking to broaden my search options and try to save some $. Any help would be appreciated!

I doubt you'd gain much from a rear strut brace in a Maxima. The rear parcel shelf and strut towers form a pretty solid frame. You might see a little gain, but you'd probably see more benefit from cross-bracing the parcel shelf to the floor of the trunk.

Actually the rear strut bar that Matt makes over at the org has been considered a very good mod for the 3rd gen. Most have seen a very noticeable difference with one. They are a little expensive but are very high quality unlike the majority of those ebay bars. If you do happen to find one that will fit (I can't think of any off hand) I would definitely recommend sticking with a steel bar. Most of the aluminum bars out there are a joke.

I'd save up some money for Matt's bar though as you know it'll definitely be high quality and has good results. You may have to contact him though and see if he has any or is making any as I know he's been quite busy lately and hasn't been able to make too much.

Thanks for the replys. I'll look into it and just go from there. Im not in any major hurry to ge it done, im just use to newer cars that i can mod the hell out of lol. Still love the Max though and my driving record aswell as my wallet is thanking me. I just want to tinker with it to pass the time and have a little fun.
