I got a 20mm rear stabilizer bar from a 93 Q45a abandoned at work and will be installing it this weekend on my 94Q. It was a simple removal and will be an easy installation. I've purchased the rubber bushings and three are the same (54612-01P00) but the 4th (54612-35F00) has a short neck on it.

Question #1- Looking at the picture below from the FSM, what is the correct location for the bushing with the neck? From the posts I've read it looks like it may be the one closest to the ground when mounted on the connecting rod which means it would be attached to the sway bar.

Question #2- I haven't looked under my Q, but I am assuming (hoping) that the holes for the connecting rods and threaded holes for the clamps are predrilled into my suspension components even though the std. Q does not have a stabilizer bar. Is this the case?

Thanks in advance for your responses. I am looking forward to the improved handling the stabilizer bar offers and will post this weekend on the results.

Goody,Just installed a RSB on my '90 last week. The holes for the clamps are definitely there. Mine were a little crudded up but some PB Blaster lubricant and a small wire brush cured that. I think the bushing with the nipple goes on the bar itself. I will be changing to poly bushings soon.Good luck,

Paul

The bushing that has the little nub goes on the very top and faces down... Remember the flat side of the washer always touches the flat side of the bushing... notice how they are concaved a little so that when you tighten they will be nicely flat.

Sorry to be acting like a newb, but...The bushing with the nub goes on top of the stabilizer bar or on top of the control arm?
