Just lower the seat back, grip the center of the rear decklid with both hands, and yank up. The hole thing is held in with about 5 or 6 clips and just comes off, like any panel... The grill is attached via screws under and to the decklid.
I have always taken my rear speakers out first thing for the last 5 years or so. I did it the first week I got this 240 back in 99', as rear fill is overrated, and allows less of a budget for a proper front stage
