I'll be tapping into my rear speakers to use as signal inputs on my amp but was unsure of what the polarity of the colors are. I know another person posted the wiring colors for the 2009 Versa and they mentioned that the rear right speaker has teal (negative) and gray (positive). By looking at the wires at the door hinge, the colors are correct. However, the rear left speaker also has the same colored wires.

So my question for those of you who have installed new speakers or have taken the door panels off, what's the polarity of teal and gray, and are they the same for both rear speakers?

I like the idea of tapping into the wires right near the door hinge and not going through the hassle of taking the panels off, which is why I ask.

Just answered my own question by installing my new system.

For the rear right door, teal (the lighter colored teal) is negative and gray is positive. For the rear left door, although the wires are physically flipped, teal is still negative and gray is still positive.

I originally had the right door correct when I did the installation, but the left door was wrong. For the record, an out of phase sub sounds like garbage. Once I corrected the phase problem, the car was shaking.

Do you happen to know if the trunk in a HB is pre-wired for a sub? I have an SL with 6-speakers and would like to add an old Bazooka tube I have to the trunk. Thanks.

I did find a six pin connector for the factory sub. When you open the hatch, it's on the left side of the cargo area behind that big panel. You'll see that you can pop off a few smaller panels and if you look in there with a flashlight you'll see it. I figured it would be too big of a pain to try and hook up an aftermarket sub to that connector, not to mention finding a way to get behind that panel better. I tried to take the entire thing off but didn't have much luck. That's when I gave up and decided to go the speaker input route.
