Hey nico,
Im one of those s13 owners that thought it would be a good idea to rip out my interior, now regret it, and need a spot to put speakers.

Anyone use this location?

I just received my free sample from GTMAT so I figured this would be the time to throw some speakers in. I plan on doing the install on Sunday so if you guys could post some pics of what your running I would appreciate it

I think i've seen people fit 6x9's using that as a mounting location.

I plan on using 1/4 mdf as the adapter and will use the sound deadener primarily inside the chamber, and a small amount around the adapter

that looks like a nice spot. try looking into foam speaker baffles to keep them dry and free from elements.http://www.crutchfield.com/g_762/Foam-S ... tml?tp=660

Or you could put the interior back in and just use the privacy cover (cut some holes in it). :)

I've had a stripped interior before and music isn't very pleasant, no matter where you mount the speakers.....

But +1 on some speaker baffles/holders. Water gets in there easily and they'll be broken in no time if left unprotected.

Thanks for the heads up, I may build a cover into the adaptors.

as for my interior... It is long gone. And i am not sure if its worth the time or money to buy everything back. I will make due.
