Rear signal lights

2009 EX - After I picked up my new ex I noticed that the rear signal lights were not working, however I did have working brake lights. Anyways, I brought it to the dealer who apparently fixed the problem. Before I left the dealer i checked to make sure they were working and I saw that only the lights in the bumper flash and not the rear taillights. I asked the service guy and he said that's the way EX's are. Is that the normal signal operation for this vehicle. It seems kind of odd to me that only the bumper lights flash when signaling and nothing from the rear tail light clusters...can anybody confirm this?

i can confirm it and i also agree with you that it is odd to put signal light on the rear bumper. the tail light is used for break light. i wish they could have put the signal light up there as well.

I agree with you both and HATE it...

If the FX gets LED turning signals that are HIGHER up and therefore safer then there is no feasible reason that we should be neglected... Even with signaling I frequently find my self being honked at for changing lanes and turning because people simple do not see my signal.

i wonder if there is a way to switch it around. have the tail light become turning signal and the turning signal become the brake light

04~08 350Z also have the turn signals on the bumper. I have no complain about the design and I actually think its cool the way that it is different.
