Rear side reflectors or lights??

I was wondering if the little red things on the side of my 1990 240sx were lights or just reflectors. If they are lights neither of them work and was wondering how to get them out. I can get to them but I cant figure out how to get them out.

if they are on the rear of the car they are the rear side markers, Gently pry with a small flat head or push them out from the inside of the trunk. Replace bulbs and check connections for corrosion. 194 is the type of bulb you will need.
