Hey guys,I'm looking to do new rear shocks for my 240, but since I have a convertable, the option of attacking it from the trunk doesn't exist for me. The easiest way it seems is to go in from the seat, but I don't know how to get the rear seats out. I assume it's the same way as the coupe. Thanks guys!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why can't you do it from the trunk? Does the convertable not have a trunk?

the vinyl housing for the top is anchored in the trunk so it actually prohibits access to the rear towers through the trunk.

I believe access to the towers is like he said behind the rear seat on the convertable. with the top up and the seat removed. i think there is also a panel to either side that needs to be removed to gain access, the z32 convertable is the same way. Or I am just plain getting them mixed up??

To get the seats out if there is not a 14mm head bolt in front of the seat you gotta pry up on it to pop it out. it is the same as a standard 240.
