Rear seat lift - how does everyone deal with it?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Whenever I try to bring the rear seats back to the upright position the headrests always hang up on the back of the front seats. My sweetheart and I are not very tall, but always have to move the fronts to allow more room. Why couldn't Infiniti allow the fronts to move forward a little to provide clearance. Just wanted to hear how others are dealling with this. Thanks dmax

I lift it up manually or have my fiancee press the button while I give it some "help"

I don't have a problem with the headrest, but the rear seat seatbelts always get caught when I raise the seats using the "button" in the trunk/on the console.

Anybody have an suggestions on how to keep that from happening?

I've never had a problem with the seatbelts getting caught (though I don't really move the seats up & down very frequently).

I do have the problem with the headrests. But I usually drive with the headrest removed anyway from the seat behind the driver's seat, to give better visibility out the back window.
