Ive had a search and although it seems people have had problems with teh quarter windows Ive not seen anyone suffering this one .........

As it was a nice weekend I thought Id see if I could sort the rear passenger quarter window - its been dropping like 2 inches so weve had it gaffer taped in the up position.

Had a play with the switch as it hadnt been woprking, and managed to get the power working to take it down - nice one. Tried to put it back up, and nothing - no clicks, no sparks, no joy

Tried then to pull it up manually and the damn thing is stuck right down - even two guys pulling ion it didnt move it. We had a look, and actually disconnected the mechanism to pull the whole thing out but got it stuck on one of the bolts that go through the window - Ive now checked another guide and it seems that these come out with a start wrench thing, so I guess thats something to try if all else fails ..........

So basically Ive got no Q window at the moment, a motor that seems to go down but not up and a window thats stuck fast in the bottom of the car. Any ideas??

Thats was the one I found this morning, but cheers anyway

I might try reversing the polarity on the motor to see if it will come back up that way - if not the whole thing is coming out I think, but that will have to wait for next weekend now

Oh! I forgot that you have JDM vert. I have a diagram for it and will post it later. Sorry, I think you have a different problem than USDM vert.

Legendary work matey

We (read: my missus) actually managed to get the window regulator back up this afternoon by using the switches on the dashboard, and has manuaklly pulled the thing back up so its in the right place again, so major problem one has been sorted.

Ill still be pulling both assemblies out at some point to try and sort them though so that guide up there is well handy, and a wiring diagram would also be very helpful

Sorry, what I meant was parts diagram, not wiring diagram. Anyway, I hope you find a bad part and replace.

Did this ever happen before? I've had some trouble with my rears but not due to the motor yet just due to little catches in the gaps. It stays up won't go down it goes down won't come up... I'm wondering if you went through too much hard work for a simple fix..
