Everyone one here seems to have a pretty good ,or complex way to adress this problem. I just went to the local O'reilly's, went to the help isle were the sale replacement [roller sliders] and remove guide plates from window, drilled the old guides out, spot welded new in. You will never have to worry about worn, brittal guides again. Just a thought.
