1) Both my rear quarter windows have issues going down. My passenger side is slow, but has no real issues. The driver side however, Creaks and whines as it goes down WHEN it goes down. I have to walk the switch side to side to get any response.

2) Being small sucks.

After my top comes all the way forward and rests on the "roof" waiting to be latched, my issue arrises. I'm a whopping 130lbs and Literally have to hold myself up by the middle handle to get the passenger side latch to engage. Sometimes I even have to go to the passenger side to get the job done.

Not fun.

Any help there? I'm making sure the top is completly forward via switch before of course.

k thnx.

Msb.

Your rear quarter window problem may just be the switch. They tend to go bad after a while. I took mine apart and manhandled it and now it seems to work better. It's a very simple design but the plastic pieces that cause the windows to go up and down wear down. I bent the metal contacts and it now has more clearance or better postion to operate.

On the top issue I recommend eating a sandwich now and then to put some weight on. 130 pounds! Com'on, I haven;t wieghed that since middle school.

New replacement tops are sometimes a little tight and require a harder hand but you might want to take your vert to a top guy and make sure the mechanism is working correctly. It isnt' that hard to lower and lock. Again, have that sandwich....

ha. I think it might be the mechanism, my dad even had a rough time with it and he's decent sized.

lol...and being almost out of your teens and under 140 does have it's disadvantages.

My top requires a bit of pulling to get latched, but I'm normal sized, so it's not an issue.

The stock quarter window switches suck. I have to hit mine 3 times before the window moves. One day, I'm going to replace the switches with aftermarket ones.

You probably want to look at the creaking and whining more closely; the plastic guides on that quarter window might be broken.

Sounds like plastic guides going bad. Ask someone to operate the windows and check the guide.

I reach the top and pull it down with right hand and use left hand to put a hook in and lock the latch. Never had to go out of the car. I think height and length of arms matters here. But, look at the bright side. Your gas mileage is better than anybody...
